Things to do!
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
One of the most spectacular wilderness sites in South East Asia and one of the largest limestone regions in the world.
Destined to become one of Vietnam’s major tourist attractions, a vast network of underground caves and passages can be found, along with awesome jungle scenery and fascinating rock formations. This beautiful and little-explored region contains the world’s longest river cave, Hang Ke Ry and the world’s largest cave, Hang Son Doong.
Hang Son Doong was discovered in 2009, explored in 2010 by a British caving team and now open to a limited but growing number of tourists annually since 2014.
Sightseeing & Culture
Alongside this unique wilderness and due to the relatively small amount of development achieved, yet in the region, it is possibly one of the best opportunities to experience the intrigue and beauty of rural Vietnam, straight from the front gate of your accommodation. Phong Nha Farmstay and Farmstay Village are proud to help in providing this opportunity along with the comfortable accommodation, you’d come to expect, when on holiday from your busy lifestyle at home. We aim to share “the real Vietnam” with our guests without expecting them to rough it.
In particular, Phong Nha offers plenty of other activities besides trekking and caving such as bicycle tours, our Phong Nha Farmstay walking tour, motorbiking day trips. Please contact us when planning your itinerary and we will do our best to help you!
Adventure Trekking & Caving
A wide range of tours and excursions are now available as the park and it’s surrounding buffer zone opens up to tourism and opportunity offering every year new treks in areas of the park that are not open to public and adventure activities to entertain the growing number of visitors.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park’s 2000 square kilometers of sprawling vegetation is an ideal habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals unique to the region including the highest diversity of primates in South East Asia. Wild and exciting… but at the same time, the experience of this captivating scenic beauty leaves you with a sense of tranquillity.
